Rose-Hulman’s Jordan Goslee Honored as HCAC Women’s Player of the Month

GREENWOOD, IN – Rose-Hulman’s Jordan Goslee ( St. Joseph, Mich./H.S.) has been named April’s Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Women’s Player of the Month. The sophomore softball pitcher propelled the Engineers to a 9-3 record in April, leading the squad to its first ever regular season HCAC softball title.

Goslee emerged as the ace of the Rose-Hulman staff during the month, posting an 8-1 record and 0.82 ERA during April. In 60 innings of work, the sophomore allowed just seven earned runs and 43 hits, while recording 89 strikeouts.

Included in her performances were a school record 16 strikeouts in a shutout win against Anderson and a 15 strikeout performance in a shutout win vs. Defiance.

The sophomore earned the conference’s Softball Pitcher of the Week award for her efforts in the week ending on April 20. She went 3-0 with a 0.37 ERA during the week, allowing only seven hits and also struck out 32 batters.

For the season, Goslee ranks among the HCAC leaders in earned run average (1.05), opposing batting average (.194), strikeouts (148), and wins (12).

Goslee is the eighth Engineer athlete to claim the award and the third different female to be honored this season.

The HCAC Player of the Month award is in its third year of existence. The award is voted on by the sports information directors of each member institution.
