HCAC Soccer Athletes Honored as CoSIDA Academic All-District

GREENWOOD , IN - Mount St. Joseph's Robert Huesman (Cincinnati , Ohio ) and Beth Schuermann (Cincinnati , Ohio ) and Rose-Hulman's Jen Lyman (Irwin , Pa. ) , Annmarie Stanley (Warrenville , Ill. ) , and Liz Ridgway (Grosse Point , Mich. ) have been selected as members of the CoSIDA Academic All-District Team in their respective districts.
Two other HCAC soccer players earned All-District honors. Mount St. Joseph's Brian Thesing (Cincinnati , Ohio ) and Rose-Hulman's Corbin Clow (Martinsville , Ind. ) earned second team honors.
Huesman holds a 3.93 grade point average and is majoring in business. The senior has netted one goal and an assist this season for the Lions. Schuermann has led the Mount's women's soccer team with 13 goals and three assists this fall. The senior nursing major holds a 3.80 GPA. Rose's Liz Ridgway leads the conference in goals scored (19) and has also contributed six assists for the Engineers. The senior civil engineering major has an impressive 3.79 grade point average. Lyman, a senior civil engineering major, has scored eight goals and 11 assists on the field and has scored a 3.72 GPA in the classroom. Annmarie Stanley holds a perfect 4.00 average as a computer engineering student. The sophomore has added two goals and a team-best 13 assists this fall.
Thesing was named to the second team after holding a 3.93 average as a communications major. Clow, a sophomore civil engineering major, holds a 3.49 GPA and has six goals and three assists for the Engineers.
The CoSIDA All-District teams are selected and voted on by the members of CoSIDA.
