The Franklin defense will look to step up against Butler on Saturday. The Grizzlies defense surrendered 381 yards through the air and 195 yards on the ground against Baldwin-Wallace and will look to contain Butler quarterback Matt Kobli.
Kobli led the Bulldogs over Albion , completing 25 of 32 attempts for 230 yards and two scores. Butler 's offense totaled 352 yards against the Britons. The sophomore quarterback will look to deliver the Bulldogs their sixth straight non-conference victory on Saturday.
The last meeting between Butler and Franklin took place back in 1987 with Butler claiming a 49-14 victory. The rivalry dates all the way back to 1887 when Butler blitzed Franklin 48-8. Butler leads the all-time series over the blue and gold 35-15-2. FC's last win over BU was in legendary coach Stewart "Red" Faught's 150 th victory in 1986.
