Rose-Hulman Set to Host Greenville (IL) on Hall of Fame Weekend

September 18, 2008

TERRE HAUTE , IN - Rose-Hulman (2-0, 0-0 HCAC) will return to Terre Haute this weekend after a rain soaked game last Saturday. The Engineers will tangle with Greenville (IL) in the annual Hall of Fame Game at Cook Stadium Saturday. Rose will induct five new members into the college's Athletic Hall of Fame prior to kickoff.

The Engineers are coming off a drenching 10-7 win at North Park (IL), while the Panthers were shutout at Augustana (IL) 30-0 last Saturday. This weekend's game between the two schools will mark the first time they have met since the 1994 season.

Greenville will be looking to find the end zone for the first time this season. The Panthers have been blanked by a combined score of 52-0 in their first two contests against Washington-St. Louis and Augustana. The Rose-Hulman defense had a tough time in a week one 42-35 win against Earlham, but rebounded nicely in a 10-7 win at North Park .

RHIT only attempted 11 passes against the Vikings, completing three for 35 yards. Junior quarterback Derek Eitel (Marshall , Ill. /H.S.) threw for 139 yards and two touchdowns in the Earlham win.
