Keith Crawford Named Rose-Hulman Swimming & Diving Coach

September 25, 2008

TERRE HAUTE, IN -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology has named Keith Crawford as the fourth head men's and women's swimming and diving coach in school history, effective October 6.

Crawford comes to Rose-Hulman after six seasons at NCAA Division III Monmouth College in Illinois.  He earned Men's Coach of the Year honors in the Midwest Conference in 2007 and 2008 after leading the team to second-place finishes.

At Monmouth, Crawford's squads recorded a total of nine individual and relay conference champions, while being recognized for their academic accomplishments by the College Swimming Coaches Association.

Prior to his time at Monmouth, Crawford earned a bachelor's with a double major in history and secondary education from Xavier University in 2001.  He also completed a master's degree in recreation and sport management at Indiana State University in 2003.

Crawford takes over for Michael Caruso, who resigned in August following a six-year stint as head coach of the Fightin' Engineers.
